The city of Chicago issued a retail food establishment license on Dec. 3 to Afandina Grocery & Meat Market Inc.
The business license for a location at 4605 N. Kedzie Ave. in Albany Park lists a license payment start date of Dec. 3, expiring on Dec. 15, 2015.
The license payment date was Nov. 13.
Afandina Grocery & Meat Market Inc. was incorporated in 2013 and lists a principal office in Chicago.
Chicago’s Albany Park community area, located on the northwest side, encompasses several smaller neighborhoods, including Mayfair, North Mayfair, the Korean commercial district and the Albany Park neighborhood. The area is currently one of the most ethnically diverse in the country and has the highest percentage of foreign-born residents in Chicago. More than 40 different languages are spoken in the area’s public schools.
